Speak the consult.

Pradya listens to your OPD consultation and drafts the note and prescription in about 30 seconds. You review, edit and sign. Built for doctors in their first three years of practice, when the queue is long and no senior is in the room.

Works in Hindi, English, Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi. Runs in Chrome, nothing to install.

Built for the years nobody checks your work

Five and a half years of medicine does not prepare you for 40 patients, three minutes each, and nobody to ask. Eight doctors told us where that pressure lands. The product is built around their answers.

2am

The night prescription

No senior reachable, a dose you are almost sure of. Pradya gives you a complete first pass to check against, with Indian generics, dose, duration and interaction flags, so you sign with your eyes open.

30–40%

Of consult time on paperwork

That is what a resident told us documentation costs in a private hospital OPD. Speaking the case takes the time you were already spending; the structured note is a by-product.

4 of 8

Asked for Hindi patient messages first

Half the doctors we interviewed wanted the WhatsApp note in Hindi before they wanted anything clever. So the patient's instructions go out in their language, before they leave the chair.

How a consult goes

Nothing to learn. You talk through the case the way you already do.

1

Speak

Tap record and talk through the case in the patient's language or yours. Hinglish code-switching is fine. Add vitals and findings as you go.

2

Review

In about 30 seconds you get a SOAP note and a draft prescription with Indian generic names, dose, frequency, duration and interaction flags. Edit any line. Nothing goes further until you do.

3

Sign and send

Print or save the prescription on your letterhead, and send the patient their instructions on WhatsApp in Hindi. The consult is saved to that patient's history.

What you get on every consult

SOAP note structured for your records, in the order you were taught to write it.
Draft prescription in Indian generic names with dose, frequency, duration and interaction flags.
Follow-up questions you may have missed in a three-minute slot, before the patient leaves the chair.
Patient instructions in Hindi ready to send on WhatsApp in one tap.
Consultation history per patient, so the next visit does not start from zero.
Six Indian languages today, with more being added for pilot doctors on request.

What we heard in eight conversations

Interns to a fifteen-year surgeon, government OPDs to private clinics. Three lines that shaped the product.

Documentation takes thirty to forty percent of my consultation time.

MD resident, internal medicine, private hospital

At 2am there is no senior to check your work. That is the fear.

Junior doctor, corporate hospital, first year

It has to be a validator, not a generator. Doctors want a first pass they can sign off on.

Nephrologist, tertiary teaching hospital

Paraphrased from our interview notes. Doctors are identified by role only.

Founding pilot: ten doctors, sixty days, free

Use Pradya in real OPD hours and tell us what is wrong with it. That is the whole deal. There is no card, no contract and no number to hit.

Questions doctors ask us

Does Pradya diagnose or prescribe?
No. It drafts the note and prescription from what you say, and you review, edit and sign every line before anything reaches a patient. Nothing is printed or sent without your approval. Your clinical judgement is the product's last step, not an optional one.
What happens to patient data?
No audio is recorded or stored; your speech is transcribed live. The transcript is used to draft the note and is not kept by Pradya after that. During the pilot, consultation records live in your browser on your own device. Patient-consent capture and ABHA-linked records are being added before paid plans launch, and pilot doctors will see them first.
Which languages does it understand?
Hindi, English, Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi today. If your OPD runs in another language, tell us when you join the pilot and we will prioritise it.
What will it cost after the pilot?
The pilot is free for sixty days. Pilot doctors keep founding pricing when paid plans launch, and we will agree it with you rather than announce it to you. It is priced for a doctor in their first years of practice, not for a hospital budget.
What do I need to run it?
A phone or laptop with Chrome and a working internet connection. There is nothing to install. In a crowded hall, a headset or the phone mic held close to you gives the cleanest transcript.
Who is building this?
Pradya is built in India by a founder with ten years in healthcare, with direct input from eight doctors across six specialities, from a tertiary teaching hospital to tier-2 clinics. It began as MedScribe, an entrepreneurship project at IIM Ahmedabad, and is now in its founding pilot under its new name.
Why the name Pradya?
It's the founder's family's names folded into one word. It also echoes the Sanskrit prajñā, wisdom, and the root dyu, to bring to light, which is what a good note does for a busy consult.
